Do not be misled by the title of the presentation at the Club monthly meeting on Wednesday evening: Birder’s eye view of Zambia and surrounds. There will be much more to it, because Luke and Machteld Horsten do these things really scientifically.
Those who were fortunate enough to attend part I of their presentation of their epic Southern African journey earlier this year, may know what to expect. You won’t only see some good photographs of exotic birds, you will also get a broader view of nature and the nature parks of those parts of Africa, backed up by interesting information.
The Horstens are true nature lovers. As far as teamwork goes, Luke describes himself as the dedicated photographer while Machteld is the more dedicated birder.
The presentation, at Fernkloof Reserve Hall on Wednesday 28 October, will begin at 19:00. Visiters are welcome.
